Kids Group Ukulele Classes

• PLEASE NOTE: To register, you only need to fill out the registration form below (scroll to the bottom of this page). In addition to Credit Card payments via My Music Staff, we accept E-Transfer, Cash and Cheque – to pay by any of these methods, please email: office@gymc.ca.

Ideal for students aged 6 to 10. In a fun and engaging group setting, children will be introduced to the basics of playing the ukulele. This program is the perfect introduction to music lessons or a chance to dive into the excitement of learning a new instrument! The last class in each session will include a short final performance where students will have the opportunity to perform with their group for family and friends.

Fall 2026 Classes:

• Beginner (Wednesdays, 5:15-6:00pm), Sept 23 - Nov 25 (10 weeks), Cost: $145 - FULL

• Intermediate II (Thursdays, 5:15-6:00pm), Sept 10 - Nov 12 (10 weeks), Cost: $145 - FULL

  • Open to students who have also completed intermediate ukulele classes in the past. Class curriculum will be tailored accordingly.

Winter 2027 Session: Dates TBD (8 weeks) –  Cost: $117

Spring 2027 Session: Dates TBD (8 weeks) – Cost: $117

Beginner Ukulele Class

Beginner class is for complete beginners to ukulele or music lessons. Students will learn basic strumming patterns, the C, F, and Am chords, and how to read rhythm notation. The final performance will include the performance of several pop and folk songs. This class introduces children ages 6-10 years old to the ukulele in a fun group setting. These sessions are an excellent way to introduce your child to music lessons or a new instrument. The last class will include a short final performance where students will have the opportunity to perform with their group for family and friends.

Intermediate II Ukulele Class

Our Intermediate II class is open to students who have previously completed the Intermediate Uke Kids session. Students will continue to learn more advanced songs, continue developing pitch notation skills, and more complex strumming patterns. The last class will include a short final performance where students will have the opportunity to perform with their group for family and friends.
